Design Star, the first reality-based competition show on HGTV, had continued to garner ratings for the network. Each season followed a theme or visual device, from high stakes in Las Vegas to the stars in Hollywood. For season seven, the concept was high glam and fashion. We placed the talent in a white world, a custom built box, made of white plexiglass. With the surrounding ambient light, ring lights, hints of color and interior design, all of the talent looked like the model stars they were competing to be.

The footage and photography from this “fashion” shoot was used to develop a marketing toolkit for all platforms, from to TV to print, to digital to mobile.
